Our trip to Omaha and the Omaha Zoo

The aquarium is the best part of the zoo. It was our second trip to this zoo and we still didn't get to see everything.

We went to the petting zoo but Addison wouldn't go near any of the animals. She stuck to daddy like glue.

Lucas's spring band concert

I think there are around 200 kids in the 7th and 8th grade band. We went to Lucas's band concert last Thursday night. Both sets of grandparents were able to come. Lucas plays the trumpet!

Addison with her friends

This is Addison with her friend Gracie. I have been watching Gracie and her baby sister since this fall. Addison just loves it when Gracie comes over to play!
This is Addison with her other friend Gracie. I watch her and her sister Brenna occasionally as well. She always gets excited when friends come to play.

Saying goodbye to Chase and Janell and Addison taking her first picture!

I saw a flash of light coming from Addison's room. She was in her room with daddies camera taking her own pictures. When I asked her what she was doing she said, mommy I'm taking pictures!
Lucas was trying to get Chase to smile. We got to see Chase and Aunt Janell one more time before they went back to England.

We got in a couple games while Aunt Janell was here. She is always up for playing games.

Huge snow storm in Kansas

Addison didn't want to go in.
Brayden came in after 5 minutes of rolling around in the snow. Our kids had never seen this much snow. I think if I remember right we got around 18 inches.
Big brother Lucas pulled Addison around on the sled since the snow was to tall for her to walk around in.
Look at the snow drift compared to Addison.

Brayden was wishing he had a real snowsuit but mom tried to tell him coveralls are much warmer. He was just glad to be going out in the snow.

Easter day pictures

I really loved the dress I got for Addison this Easter. It is my first purchase from Gymboree.
Addison loves her daddy!

It was hard to get Lucas to take a picture with his mom.

Not sure why all our Easter morning pictures have red eyes.

Brayden was very excited about what he got for Easter!

Copper's last pictures

Our family dog Copper died just a month ago. He had been part of our family for 10 years. We got Copper when he was 6 months olds and our oldest Lucas was just 3 years old. He was deathly afraid of dogs so we decided to get one of our own to cure that. Copper was a wonderful pet and is so very missed. Each of our kids loved him very much as well as Scott and I. We said our goodbyes and shed many tears. We are very glad he does not have to suffer anymore.

Easter pictures

Here is Addison playing outside on her little wiggle car. Lucas is really good and takes her outside to play every chance he gets. She loves to be outside and just recently has figured out how to open the door. The other day we were working in the house and noticed Addison was gone. We looked around and the little stinker had gone outside and got her wiggle car out of the garage and was at the end of the drive way just playing. I am thankful we do not live on a busy street. She was only out there for a minute or so. They are quick at this age. Now we lock the big door too. She has not figured out that lock yet.

Here is Brayden playing one of his soccer games. We missed half the games this year but he enjoyed the games we did make it to. He is a good little player.
Lucas loves his little sister.
I thought Addison looked especially cute this day and wanted to share the photo with you.

Brayden was just getting ready to find his eggs and grandma and grandpa's house but decided to sample the Easter basket goodies first.
Addison wanted to stop after picking up just one egg. She knew what was inside. I had to talk her into picking up more eggs. I think big brother Lucas ate most of her candy!
Here are all the grandkids at the Denmark Easter egg hunt. Lucas helped me with Addison and Brayden for I could not be in 2 places at once. Gage did not get in this picture because he was off playing but I thought it was a cute picture of most of the grandkids.
Addison, Raegen, and Gage had their shirts taken off so they wouldn't get the mess on their clothes. This was Addison's first time to decorate eggs. She really enjoyed it.
We decorated eggs and Grandma and Grandpa Markley's house the Sat. before Easter.
